Can Dropbox delete files? I hadn't accessed my account in a while and it's now empty.

How long ago? Was it over 12 months? If so I'm afraid the data isn't recoverable.

Yes they do - after 12 months of inactivity (i.e. not logging in). But they do send multiple emails over many months saying this is going to happen. They dont just do it.

Wow, so I lost my entire photography portfolio... Memories gone.
Thanks for your help Mark, Dropbox should be paying you. I won't be using them ever again.
They gave me 3 months. Emailed me May 17th, files deleted Aug 14th. My fault for missing these 3 emails in the pile of spam I get from them. Unbelievable.

7 months agoSorry it wasnt answer you wanted, it is also probably worth mentioning that you can unsubscribe from all of the other emails via the links on the bottom of emails, or, via the Account menu option.
