Deleting the synced Documents Folder
I have a lot of junk and duplicate files which I want to remove some from my PC and all from Dropbox to release space. I unsynced a lot of them and have managed to do that.
Now I find that I can't delete them from Dropbox as they get deleted from Documents as well even though the Sync is turned off.
I have noticed that the Document storage is green ticked and am guessing that it is synced automatically.
How can I change this so I can delete files from Dropbox.
Apologies if this is is rather confusing, but believe me I am very confused and frustrated..
Thanks.

I am having problems with trying to delete files from Dropbox without losing them from my PC.
I have asked about this on another post.
Would it be possible to delete my free Basic account and make a new account. Then I could start again from scratch.
Thanks

Hi annette e.1, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
It sounds like you might have enabled the Dropbox Backup feature.
Could you try disabling it using these steps to see if this helps remove that folder from the Dropbox folder?
Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi. I am getting in a real mess here. I now found myself backing up the entire contents of my PC so have just stopped syncing.
It's very frustrating. Would it be better if I delete my account and create a new one with the same email address.
Thanks

If you wish you can do that, however, I'd first disable the computer backup feature via the steps in my previous post to prevent any potential data loss on your computer, before deleting the account.
