Deleting to Create More Storage Space
I have 2GB of free storage and am getting the message I have run out of space? What is the quickest way to delete selected files to create more space as can't afford to purchase more.

Hi there Z104, thanks for posting your question about your storage space!
Deleting files is quite an easy task. You can find steps on how to do it here.
If you want to add some free bonus space to your account, you can also take a look at this article.

Thank you for your reply. Did I read correctly, that if I delete or permanently delete a file or folder (or anything I guess) it does not free up space?

Deleting files does free up space in your account.
Permanently deleting files, though, doesn't make a difference, since the deleted files do not take up any space.
The info about the bonus space was just something extra, in case you wanted to give it a try! - Z1044 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Thank you for the clarification. So do I have to delete each individual file or folder and if so, is there a way to select individual files and folders until I have selected all I want to delete, and then delete all those selected with one click? I assume this would be quicker than deleting one file or folder at a time? I hope I'm making this clear.

Not a problem!
Of course, you can definitely select multiple files or folders to delete.
You can do that by checking the box on the left side of each file/folder name on our website and then clicking on the 'delete' option, at the top. - Z1044 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Thank you!

When I delete a photo file I get asked if I want the file deleted on all devices. I only want to delete photos in DB and not from my PC. Will my PC files be deleted too?

011656 - if they are in the Dropbox folder on your computer yes they will (as thats what Dropbox is supposed to do - it syncs everything across all devices). However, if the file is also in, for example, My Photos which is on your desktop then THAT one wont delete - only the one in Dropbox.

I receive messages about my Dropbox being full. I would like to empty my Dropbox by simply moving all files to my harddrive. I have no interest of using Dropbox as a permanent file storage. How do I do this?
