Unless you get access to a stable WiFi connection, I'd recommend uploading to your Dropbox account directly and then adding the files to your Paper doc from there.

Walter, what is your experience trying this? π
That is, is it systemwide or something...

Walter, a coworker informs me he cannot upload images either. He gets the same error message. He works from home too. Like I, he was able to do this "just the other day."
His macOS: 12.2.1.

I am WFH and have only my home wi-fi network. When I next go into the office, I'll try the network there and report back. That may take at least a week. By the way, I was able to insert images into Dropbox Paper from home last week. I updated a particular page with images. However, as of today, I am unable to do so. The only difference between last week's work and today is that, after my work week ended, I updated macOS to 12.5.1. Perhaps that is a clue.

Hey Magill3179 & Stefanwork - thank you both for your reports.
Since you've already done some troubleshooting, as a last troubleshooting step could you try another wifi network and let us know if you still get the same error?
Thanks!

I am unable to insert any image on a Dropbox Paper page and have it remain visible for more an a second before it disappears and is replaced with the message, "Couldn't load preview". To keep things simple, I tried this using a small (164 KB) JPEG headshot of myself. I can reproduce this.
Details:
- macOS 12.5.1
- Browsers tested: Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Brave
- Cache cleared
- Signed in to Dropbox either with my work account (Okta authentication) or personal account (basic 2-factor authentication)
- Not on VPN
What happens: After I use the Insert Image button on the task bar, I navigate to the JPEG (in my regular Downloads folder, which is not synced to Dropbox) and select it. It appears for a second (top screen shot) and then disappears and is replaced with an error message (bottom screen shot). This happens with JPEGs and PNGs. When I click the link in that error message box, the image downloads β so it's being stored somewhere on Dropbox.
Curious side note: My image file has no spaces in the filename, but if I do put a space in the filename and try this, clicking that link in the error message does not download the image; instead, the following XML code appears:
<Error><Code>AccessDenied</Code><Message>Access Denied</Message><RequestId>B2Y5NWC20CMTEFSF</RequestId><HostId>krirxYrehece/KsbOTczmE5h3BnY7QhrdIem5xJfY0mBPN2QslNYQDMMKGCnNPeE4CvQ9eszTJ8=</HostId></Error>Not being able to add any image to my Dropbox Paper pages is proving to be a huge disappointment.

Hello Dropbox community!
I've been using Dropbox Paper for awhile now and I've never had a problem until today. When I try to add a screenshot to paper, it gives me this:
My laptop is hard wired and I've restarted the computer and browser twice. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
