Excel and Word file corrupted in Dropbox
I have the same problem as many others who have posted here. I tried the help tips on Microsoft site you suggested with the link, but it did not fix the problem. After reading other posts, I did find that I could open the corrupted Dropbox files with Word and Excel that is installed on my iPhone 12, but they are still corrupted in Dropbox and also when I copied them to my desktop. Do you have any suggestions, please?
Thanks for the screenshot therealgenebrown.
I don't see our desktop app's icon in your system tray; can you confirm that it's running and showing 'up to date' when you try to open those files?

Hey there therealgenebrown; welcome to our Community!
Can you please send us a screenshot of the exact error you've stumbled upon and clarify the OS of the device you've noticed this on?
Are you able to preview those files normally on our website at all?
Let me know what you find!

Hello there!
Thank you for your prompt reply! I started having corrupted files about 6 months ago. Prior to that, I had no problems for about 2 years that I've been using Dropbox. I'm running a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 that I cannot open certain Excel and Word files on, although I can open other files in the same folders. My iPhone 12 Pro Max running IOS version 14.3 opens them with no problem.
Here are screenshots of the error messages:
Thanks for your help!
