How can I see who deleted files?
Dropbox just sent a notification that some of my files have been deleted and I would like to know who did that. Does dropbox show who deleted the files?
You can look at your Events page, or you can restore one of the files and then look at its version history. Also note that if you've recently renamed a folder, you may receive a notification that a number of files were deleted, since Dropbox sees a rename as a deletion (old name) followed by an addition (new name).

I "lost" 22,000 files after a spontaneous re-sync. Turns out there was an "Event" which reported "The computer xxx was linked to your account". The computer was already used for updating dropbox files so why suddenly link it?
After much rewinding and undeleting I think I have them all back.
