Dropbox deleted files from a shared link
Hello everybody! I had a bunch of photos and videos on this account (aprox. 200). The photos were probably about 3-4 years old, and i would occasionally access them. Today when i wanted to see them again, the photos were gone. The only things left on my account are the pdfs, word files and archives. I still have some links of some of the photos, form a conversation where i shared them, but when i try to access them, i get the message that the file was deleted. -the files are not in the deleted files folder -i have no other account, where i could've saved the files -i am 100% sure i didn't accidentally deleted them -no other person has access to my account -i am not logged in on the mobile app Any ideas on how my files were deleted, or any suggestion on how to recover them would be appreciated. File will only open in Excel Online
Hi! I work from home and share an excel file with other employees. We all make edits to the file and save it so others can see. Typically when I open files, I choose to open them on my desktop and not online. However, this file does not give me the option to open it on my desktop. When I click open, it immediately tries to open it through Excel Online. However, the file is too big, so Excel Online can't open it. So now I can't open the file at all. Please help me with this. How can I share files within a folder in a specific order?
Question or Issue I'm a pro photographer and I use dropbox to deliver photos to my clients. I number each photo (i.e. "Smith-1, Smith-2, Smith-3, etc...). Dropbox used to share them in order (lowest number to highest) now they share in reverse order (highest number to lowest). I want to change this back to the way it was but I'm having no luck figuring it out. Any help??Solved214Views0likes5Comments
Modifications on file from Dropbox account A don't show up on Dropbox account B
If I open a file of the same account of dropbox with the USER 1 (Destock), and I modified the file, and then, I close the file. Now, I open the same file, with the USER 2, (online) I see that the modifications made by USER 1 are not made in the file !!! Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance123Views0likes2Comments
I have edit access on an Excel file but I can't save my changes through the Dropbox Android app
Device Motorola g54 5g Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Android 15 Question or Issue I can open an excel file with sheets that has been shared with editing access. I can open to edit and can make changes. When I try to save these I get to options. To device or Google's cloud. Doing neither option seems to save the changes in the administrator's copy. I need to delete a video and some photos sent to me that have taken me over my storage limit
A friend sent me a video via WhatsApp that I opened and watched, but it’s taken me over my storage limit, so I want to delete it, but am unable to. I’ve tried using the website and app on iPad and iPhone. This is so frustrating. I have the same problem with some photos and videos sent to me in a folder, it’s so annoying! I have just tried to share a folder with dropbox to another account and the folder has simply disappeared. It doesn't show in the online directory. It doesn't come up when I look for deleted files either, so I assume it is still there somewhere. This is an important folder and I'd like to get it back. Order/sorting of folders and files in our subfolders changed
I compile/update a Dropbox table of contents for a club I belong to. Subfolders and files used to be co-mingled together in alpha order within the main folders.
