Can we have a way to tell if a FileMaker 11 database is open on a user's end?
In our office we use a FileMaker database. However there are two people who use it and one can't tell if the other has the database open. This causes problems if both people are adding or changing data. I realize this is not a server so two can't use the same file at the same time. However, it would be a great help if somehow we can tell on the list if it is opened already. I think it works for Microsoft products. Could FileMaker 11 be added?Can I somehow restore deleted shared files from a link I had last year?
Files (videos, large content) were shared with me by a vendor in December 2024 and I was able to download the content then. The vendor has since deleted them from their Dropbox account (not sure which kind of account they have) and is no longer helpful in sharing the original files. The downloaded files were corrupted. Is it possible for Dropbox to find these files still? The original file link is no longer active.
If I rewind a folder, will a removed member regain access?
A user who should have not had access to a folder any more went in and deleted a bunch of files/folders within a core folder in my Dropbox. I am planning to use Rewind to restore folders so I can properly backup the data. I have already removed access to the root folder for the user who should no longer have had access. If I initiate a rewind of the folder, will the user gain access to the restored/rewinded files? It should not matter - as I will promptly remove access again - but I just want to plan accordingly and act rapidly if I need to. And to be clear - I know that if I do a "Restore" instead of a Rewind, that the person WILL be given access again. But it is my understanding that Rewind operates differently. Thank you!
Shared folder empty on devices and online
There is a folder that our band members use to sync songs, images, lyrics, etc. It recently turned up completely empty for all of us, on our devices and on dropbox.com. None of us remembers having done anything, let alone having deleted everything. What can we do to get our files back? Best regards, Alex
