How to undo an accidental backup to Dropbox?
A couple of months ago I must have accidently hit a key where it seems my complete computer is backed up to dropbox.
I'm on a Mac and my "Documents" folder now has a Dropbox icon and it seems each file is no longer located on my mac but on Dropbox.
So I depend on internet speed for access to the files.
I have solved part of the problem by making all my folder "available offline" which, I assume, restores my Mac the way it was before.
But I would like to permanently disable this automatic backup and have my documents folder looking the same way it was before all this happened.

Hi WildGingerSGP, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
You can disable the computer backup feature by following these steps.

Following the steps I get stuck at the "Click the Sync and Backups" tab.
When I click the dropbox icon on my Mac I don't see that tab (see screenshot)

Hey WildGingerSGP! If you click on the small icon with your profile picture on the top right corner, and then go to Preferences, can you see the “Sync and Backups” tab/”Backups” tab perhaps?

I TAKE IT BACK... I found it. Under preferences... I needed one more click. Thanks.
