I can't locate the "deleted files" option on the left side bar in my account on the website
Pleae make the process of restoring missing or deleted files more intuitive and/or update the instructions on the internet, where it refers to the left sidebar. Unfortunately I'm not able to include the URL where this information isn't valid, but if you search for "How to restore or recover deleted files or folders in Dropbox", you'll find it. This page says:
Follow the steps below to learn how to search and recover your deleted Dropbox files:
- Login to dropbox.com.
- Click Deleted files in the left sidebar.
My Dropbox doesn't have "deleted files" listed on the left sidebar

Susan Muskoka Thanks for dropping by the community! Which version/platform are you using Dropbox on? When I log into Dropbox web, the Deleted Files is listed there on the sidebar

Thanks for sending me the screenshot. That clears up one issue. The missing piece of information seems to be to click on the home button. The default was my files, so I couldn't see it. So my recommendation stands, but with adding the step to click on the home button.
Having said that, when I click on the deleted files, there's a popup trying to upsell me, and when I x that out, it says "no deleted files shown", so it's still not very intuitive.
I'm using a desktop with Windows 11.

You need to set the filters for your search criteria, in the top-right corner of the page.
By default it only shows files deleted in the last 24 hours. It's not like it used to be where it was one page that showed all deleted files from everywhere in your account, similar to a recycle or trash bin.
The old method was more intuitive and easier, but I imagine it was more resource heavy as it had to locate deleted files from everywhere on every page load. Not very efficient.
