My account seems to be completely empty, how can I find my files?

Hello,

My Dropbox account has been inactive for the past 9 months. I stored a lot of documents and old family photos there.
Last week I logged into the account and saw that all the files were deleted!😱
The site has updated and rejuvenated, and my account is empty.
I upgraded today to a 3 TB subscription, but the account is empty😢
I really hope the folders can be recovered. please help mešŸ™
thank you

Hi yofitofi, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you able to see any event history or deleted files on your account?

Are you certain that you're logging into the same email address as before?

This will help me to assist further!

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately the account is completely empty, there is no history of deletions. I'm sure I logged into the same email. I found a message in the email dated 18.7.23

Warning: You are 100 times over your Basic storage limit -

New files added to your Dropbox folder won't be accessible on your other devices and won't be backed up online.

To get your Dropbox back in shape, upgrade your Dropbox to get up to 3 TB (3,000 GB) of space and powerful sharing features.

    Two thoughts on this one....

Did you do anything about being over quota yofitofi ? Dropbox terms do state that they will delete files of users who are over quota so that could have happened. As www.dropbox.com/events only lists 6 months of events you may not see that happening if you haven't logged in in a long time.

Which brings me to point two.... when did you last log in? If its over 12 months ago Dropbox deletes all data for inactivity and as such accounts would be empty if you re-logged in.
