My Dropbox Account Disappeared! I had 5TB of files that now show as 2GB.
I need help to get my DB account back. It disappeared after being a DB customer for 10 yrs plus. I had an account with like 5TB of files and now when I log in, it shows me as having a basic 2gb account with NONE OF MY FILES!!! How can I speak or chat with a human???
Thanks!

First step, use the credit card charge lookup tool to identify the account that you're paying for and confirm it's the same account that you're signing in to now.

Hey iamdissapointed, sorry to hear that your files are missing.
Is it possible that you used a different email address than the one you had used for your original, paid account? I'm assuming it was a paid account since you mentioned 5TB, right?
If you're not sure, you can use the page that Rich provided in order to look up your payment info and find out the email address, to compare it with the one you used.
Let me know what you find.

I had the same issue happen to me too. Seems like this is happening pretty wide spread!

The number of people who actually set up a second account by accident is horrific. Like its totally and utterly bonkers! Accounts do not just 'vanish' (unless you haven't logged in for over 12 months, but, if this is the case you are warned many, many times it will be wiped).

Did you ever get a resolution? This just happened to me last week. Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated. Having trouble getting in touch with some one to provide a solution.

Have you followed the advice already given and done things like the credit card lookup?

You haven't really provided much information about the problem, so why don't you start a new topic specific to your issue so you aren't replying to a 3-month old topic. Please be as detailed as possible.
- When was the last time you signed in to the account?
- Is it a free or paid account?
- If paid, have you used the charge lookup tool and what was the result?
- Have you searched your email for any messages from Dropbox to ensure you're signing in with the same email address?
- etc.
The more information you can provide, the more likely it will be that someone can help you or at least point you in the right direction.

I actually did all that on another post... I reached out to the person who created this post originally to see if they ever had a solution to their problem. I am sure you mean well, however nothing you have said is an answer to my original question...
