Search not working
Dropbox search can’t find anything. The files, however, are there. How can I make Dropbox find them or reindex them???
- 5 years agoSolved. Miraculously the search tool is finding files again after going on an unexplained weeks-long holiday.
If anyone else experiences this problem, try waiting it out. 🤷♂️

4 years agoHi there klundq1, sorry for jumping in.
Can you send me a screenshot of a search that does not return the expected results, and one with the files that it should have returned?
Thank you!

Jackson yeah I do not think I can do that because I need to keep the names private. Some folders come up, and some do not. I only have dropbox on my one computer - no other devices. It says it is synced (online etc).

Hey klundq1, sorry to jump in, but could you clarify if you're referring to the website or the desktop app perhaps?
Can you let us know the exact OS of your device as well?

Walter I am using the website, on Firefox. I am using macOS Monterey version 12.6

In that case, could you try clearing your browser's cache or another browser and let us know if the issue persists klundq1?
