Unable to Edit Excel file through mobile Dropbox, it throws an error.
I installed dropbox app in my phone to edit my excel file on the go. When i am opening my excel file on dropbox using open with excel feature, it redirects me to excel web app. Once i sign in to excel app, it throws an error “ Dropbox's request does not comply with Google's "Use secure browsers" policy. If this app has a website, you can open a web browser and try signing in from there.”
Error 403: disallowed_useragent

Hi Praduman, welcome to our Community!
I'd like to gather some additional info on this, if you don't mind.
What is the OS on the mobile device you're using, along with the Dropbox version you have installed there?
Would you mind sending me a screenshot of the error you mentioned too, in order for me to have a visual?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!
- Praduman2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Hi,
I am using ios version 17.4.1
Dropbox version 372.2 - Praduman2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Also, i don’t see any option to add a screenshot here. Could you please guide me?

Of course Praduman!
You should be able to click the camera-like icon, when responding back to me in order to send us a screenshot.
If you don't see the option there, you might need to use a desktop device, or use your mobile browser and request a desktop-version of our site.

Hey Praduman, thanks for that!
Do you have the Excel app installed on your mobile, or do you try to open the file using a browser?
If you don't, would you mind trying to install the app, just to see if you'll get the same error when opening the file there?
- Praduman2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Hi,
I have both the apps installed (dropbox and excel)
Steps to reproduce the issue:
1) open dropbox app and log in
2) open the excel file and click on “open with” button and select excel.
3) excel app opens
4) dropbox sign-in page opens up.
5) After signing in, the error appears as attached above. - Walter2 years ago

Hey Praduman - sorry to jump in here, but could you try navigating to this file from a web browser and try to open it from there?
Do you still the same error?
Also, do you have a Microsoft account as well where you're logged in on your device?
- Praduman2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Yes, i tried using the web browser as well. I still see the same error as it is redirecting me to the excel app. Yes i do have microsoft account logged in.

Happy Monday Praduman!
I can see that we had an older, similar thread here.
Would you mind following the fix that one of our users (@MrBeanley) suggested, and then let me know if the error remains?
