Adding photos from my iPhone. Backup vs uploading
I am trying to add all my photos from my iPhone 16 to Dropbox in order to delete them off of my phone.
if I only use the backup feature can I do the above?
Or do I have to upload each photo w...

Camera Uploads is definitely the way to go. There’s a setting to backup either new or all photos, and it’ll grab everything in your photo library (or selected albums) so you can safely remove them from your phone.
Camera Uploads (CU) backs up your photos to a dedicated Camera Uploads folder in your Dropbox account. Manual Upload (MU—how we refer to selecting individual files or photos to upload) allows you to choose where the uploads wind up, but this pathway isn't as robust as CU, which will automatically retry uploads in the background and handle variable network conditions more effectively.
