Android - camera uploads progress bar missing

Why is the the upload progress bar is missing on camera uploads? I have no idea if the upload is complete, stuck, still going... no feedback whatsoever, it's just happening in the background. Not to...

    Appears to work erratically. I'll keep an eye on it and return if I notice it happening again...

        Can we have the answer please? This happens to me all the time. I am uploading video files (complete folder structures) to dropbox. I also lose some files but not others. 

         

        Honestly dropbox is more hassle than its worth. I am about to go to another service
