Can Dropbox send specific files to other Internet users without syncing with my HDD?

    It sounds like shared links might be what you're looking for. Could you have a look and let me know if those would do the trick for you?

     

    As for your other concerns, have you considered uninstalling the Dropbox desktop app from your computer and using only the website to access and/or share, upload, download etc. your files?
