Cannot exclude username folder from Dropbox sync with linux server
Hello,
I have dropbox account, which is syncing with linux server. The problem is that i cannot exclude folder with username.
For example I have folder A, B and USERNAME. The username folder is created by dropbox and I don't have to remove it. I can exclude folder A and/or B, but username is syncing always, despite i exclude it.
How can I delete or exclude folder?

Hey isoci, thanks for reaching out to us today.
Can you please clarify what you mean by 'username folder'?
Are you on a Dropbox Business team and are you referring to the team member folder (the one with your name on it)?
Any additional info would be really helpful.
Thanks!

Hey isoci! Sorry to jump in.
Are you perhaps able to run the exclude command for the subfolders of the team member folder?

Hello @Nancy,
I tried to exclude a subfolder from a team member's folder, it seems to be excluded, but it syncs nonetheless.

Hey isoci, sorry to jump in here, but could you maybe send us a screenshot of how the folder looks on your end when it syncs after being excluded?

Hello, sorry for late response. Below screenshot from linux server:
'Agata ***' is name of user.
The second problem is that now i have folder .dropbox and .dropbox.cache how they did create?

Hi isoci, those two folders are necessary for the functioning of the Dropbox app and service.
I don't see an error there showing that you were unable to exclude the folder. Could you clarify where the issue is?

There is no error after exclude but next on the list of excluded there is no 'Agata ***' folder. This is the problem, therefore it pass without error folder is syncing.

When excluding the folder, did you place quotation marks around the folder in question if there are spaces in the folder name?

Yed, this was on screenshot before it was blurred 😄
