Cannot see the files shared with me in my finder.

This is the expected behavior. Files shared with you directly won't appear in your Dropbox with your other files. You can access them through the Dropbox application window in your menu bar or on your Sharing page on the Dropbox website.

Shared folders will appear with your other files and will sync to your computer.
