2 years agoHey CKKJA, so if I understand correctly, you're in a different app when you follow the steps to attach files, right?
Have you tried exporting them from within the Dropbox app to that other app instead?
If that doesn't work either, try to clear the cache for both apps, to see if that helps.

I am on internet message board websites with the option to attach files(post pictures) in replies. When you click on the "Attach files" link you are prompted to choose where to attach files from...Dropbox is one of the choices.

To have to do so defeats the whole purpose of having Dropbox. My phone is synched to Dropbox. When I take a picture, they automatically upload into my Dropbox account. I can then delete all or some of the pictures from my phone's Google Photos app, if I choose to, and free up storage space.

So, it's a website not an app, right? Did you manually connect your Dropbox to this website?
Can you disconnect and reconnect them, to see if that helps?

The websites/message boards are never connected to Dropbox. When you click on their "Attach files" link, you choose where that file/picture is stored and connect to it manually at that time.

I see, thanks for the additional info.
Have you tried to do this from a different web browser or a private browsing/incognito window, to see if that makes any difference?
