Can't open a shared link - link doesn't work

I’ve been sent a link by someone to open something on Dropbox however whenever I go into it it won’t work. What can I do to fix it?

    Can you give us some more info as to why the link doesn't work?

      Yeah whenever I click into it an error just shows up on the screen
