Clean up desktop

Still strugling.

As I explained before I would like to clean up my desktop=internal hard disk. I have uploaded all the important files/folders to Dropbox, so they are save and will sync when I change them.

If I want to clean up my desktop I have to delete the files/folders which are stored there. This means, because the files/folders are still in use, I have to open them through Dropbox and change them there, right?

Thanks in advance.

It depends what you did... if you copied them to Dropbox so you have them now in two locations (one on Dropbox and one in say My Documents) you can safely delete the second one (My Docs) as there is no link between the two - you will get out of date files AND use twice the hard drive space.

Then just work on the files inside of \Dropbox which will then sync to all other connected devices, but note WONT sync back to My Documents etc.
