'Couldn't copy, but it might be a fluke. Try reloading the page or ask us for help' error
Hi guys,
Our company account has been suffering from a "Copy Link" failure issue for months.
The symptom is we can't use the "Copy Link" function.
Every time the user inside the enterprise plan tries to use the "Copy Link" function, then the system will say: "Couldn't copy, but it might be a fluke. Try reloading the page or ask us for help".
The service team said they were investigating the issue.
But still no solutions.
Does anyone have any idea about this?

Hey guys, thanks for posting to our Community!
Can you give me some additional info, please?
Do you still notice the same behavior? Have you tried multiple browsers, and also clearing your cache?
Let me know more!

Hey Megan! - Our ticket is - Ticket #23147386:
Its being looked into by the Advanced Department, so fingers crossed it gets fixed. In response, its on all machines, phones, browsers - for some weird reason my admin account is in a tizz! It just keeps saying there was a problem completing this request.. 😞

I've tried with multiple browsers and devices in both normal and private/incognito.
Tried clearing cache, restarting browser multiple times. I still get the same error message when I try to copy/generate sharable link of the parent folder, but I'm able to copy/generate sharable link for sub folders individually within that parent folder.
Error Message: " Couldn't copy, but it might be a fluke. Try reloading the page or ask us for help "

Hey WithFeeling, great job opening a ticket, and thanks for sending it over!
I was able to locate it on our system, and I can indeed see that it's been worked on.
Hey numaan, is that parent folder shared with others, by any chance?
Because it does sound like this might be the case there.

Hi Megan
Yes, the parent folder is shared with some other users as well. It was all going well even though the folder was shared with others and it all started yesterday. What do you mean that this might be the case? Do you mean to remove all other users to whom the folder was shared to? Or what should I do to resolve this issue?

Hi numaan, did you create the shared folder, or is someone else the owner of the folder? Are they able to create a shared link?
- numaan2 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Hey Jay
I am the owner of the folder, because the existing folder was not generating link, I tried creating a new folder and it also shows the same error.

Hi numaan, would you mind sending us a screenshot of the message you get when trying to share a link to the folder, please?
