Custom folder icons on Mac are not working
I have hundreds of folders, each with a custom icon. On Mac, this is saved as a hidden file in the folder (Icon?).
Dropbox renames this file to 'Icon_' when syncing and removes the bit from the folder that says it has a custom icon.
I know this has been going on for a long while.
Does DB support folder icons? Or do I have to live with the fact that all me custom icons will be removed?
Thanks.

Hey brains, thanks for posting to our Community today.
Can you let me know which version of macOS you're running on your computer?
Also, which version of Dropbox do you have installed? You can see that by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar.
Keep me posted!

Hi Megan,
That thread is about changing the icon for the Dropbox home folder. What I am talking about is custom icons for any other folder.
Cheers,
Colin

Hi brains, thanks for the clarification. It wouldn't be possible to have custom icons for any folders in the Dropbox folder.

It's not working for me either. I'm familiar with the procedure of copying a folder icon to a different folder. I have the latest Mac operating system. I can only suspect that Dropbox is blocking this somehow. OR, it could be because the Dropbox folder is now in the Library (bad idea) but I can't say for sure. If anyone comes up with a solution please post it.
