Dropbox keeps indexing after installation

Hello,

I am using Mac OS Sonoma 14.1. I installed Dropbox app on my completely clean computer, logged in, and chose the folders to sync. Then it kept syncing for a long time with no progress. I supposed it might have been be too many files, so then I chose one folder with 1GB. Nothing changed, the folders don't even show up in the Finder.

I tried uninstalling and installing again, logging out and back in, no change.

Please help.

Thanks for posting here, @Anastasia potato!

If you open your selective sync settings here, do you only see the 1GB folder checked and selected to sync?

Can you also clarify what’s the current app version of your desktop app, as well as the location of the local Dropbox folder on your Mac device? You can check the latter via the Sync tab of your desktop app settings.

Keep me posted, and we’ll have a look.
