DropBox Not syncing from iMac Monterey to Dropbox central or Windows
DropBox Not syncing from iMac Monterey to Dropbox central & Windows, any ideas?
- Hey RapsGazette, thanks for reaching out to our Community.
Can you please clarify what you mean by 'Dropbox central'?
And what is the sync status of the Dropbox app on your iMac? You can check this by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar.
Also, can you check your account online, to see if the changes you make are syncing there?
Let me know what you find!

The Dropbox on iMac did not update to the Dropbox server as the Sharer in another office over the internet, or my Windows machine on my intranet, could not see the update. When the Dropbox icon is opened it usually updates. Cannot see the sync status anywhere.

Hi there, RapsGazette! Hope you don’t mind if l jump in.
If l get this right, you’re unable to see the Dropbox icon on the top part of your iMac device, close to your clock settings, correct?
In that case, can you please open your Finder > Applications folder and try to restart the app from there?
Let me know how this goes, or if I’ve understood something wrong. - RapsGazette4 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Re read my comment, you misunderstood.

Sorry for any misunderstandings, RapsGazette.
Would it be possible to send me a screenshot of what you see on your iMac, in this case?
If you can see the small Dropbox icon on the top part of the device, then the syncing status should be showing there, after hovering over/clicking on it. - RapsGazette4 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Found the Sync and Update. Thanks.

I am having the same issue for a very long time. Whenever I want to sync files I need to "pause" and then "sync". This should happen automatically.
How can I fix this?

Hey roiho, thanks for the nudge!
Let’s check a few things together.
First of all, what’s the current syncing status of your desktop app, as well as its app version?
Also, what’s the exact OS version of the computer that you’re using?

Hi Nancy!
Thanks for writing!
The Dropbox version is v154.4.5363.
I am not sure what you mean by the "syncing status". Here is a screenshot of my preferences.
This is my OS version

If you hover your cursor over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar (hover, not click), it will display your current sync status. Best to do this while you're experiencing the problem.
