Dropbox options to share a file/folder aren't available when right-clicking on Mac
hi,
I am on a Mac with Sonoma 14.4.1 - I use to be able to right click on the file or folder to share or copy dropbox share link. However, while I see it on the top menu bar - I now have to navigate to a web browser to share any file or folder.
I not sure what happened that I cannot share directly from my mac -
thanks,
Nada
reboot worked. thanks.

Hi nadahashmi, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you right clicking on files within the Dropbox folder, or from outside the Dropbox folder?
Could you attach a screenshot showing the options you currently get when right clicking in Finder?
This will help me to assist further!

I right click on files within the dropbox folder - so a file that is contained in a folder in the main dropbox folder. I am attaching a screenshot.

Hey nadahashmi, thanks for the screenshot!
Could you please let us know if the desktop app is running and syncing normally in your menu bar?
Also, are you navigating your Dropbox folder on your computer or another location perhaps? It's not quite clear in your screenshot.

Thanks for the screenshots nadahashmi - much appreciated!
If this persists after rebooting your computer, could you try to share a link to a file of yours via the website and let me know how it goes?

I've got precisely the same problem—except that multiple reboots have done nothing. Any advice for me, Dropbox folks?

Hey worldmatt - sorry to hear about this.
Could you please clarify the version of your computer's OS, and the version and status of the Dropbox desktop app as shown in your menu bar?
A screenshot of the options you get when you right click on files in your Dropbox folder would also help, so feel free to send one as well.

Sure thing! I'm running: Sonoma 14.5 on an M3 MacBook Pro. The Dropbox app is version 204.3.5363, and it's running in my menu bar. And here's a screenshot just now of the right-click menu in a Dropbox folder:
I should add that syncing seems totally fine! But those missing menu items are driving me crazy. I have turned on full-disk access and OK'd extensions and everything. Help!
