This Error 400 message keeps popping up. I don't use dropbox too often but it first happened a week ago with one file. Eventually, a friend resent the link days later and it worked. Now someone el...

2 years agoI’m sorry to hear about this issue, diamondblend. Let’s have a look.
Can you clarify what you mean when saying the 400 error appears for every file you open? Is this happening with your own Dropbox files, besides the ones you access via shared link?
If you check the shared link that was resent to you now, are you still able to see its contents or does it give the same error again?
Finally, if you create a shared link instead to one of your own files, and then test it via an incognito window, does it give you the same error?
Keep me updated!

I have a contractor who is having the same issue with shared links (allowing edit). When I send her a shared link for a folder, she gets 400 error. I'm able to use the link just fine. She is on an older Mac.

Hey monica97, sorry to hear that.
Is this a link to a normal/shared folder or perhaps a team folder?
Have you tried deleting the link from this page and creating a new one, to see if that works?

I found in a comment in another forum that suggested a folder might be too big to share via a link. (seems odd since everything is cloud-based and the link should just be a pointer to the online folder.) This folder does contain LOTS of large video files so my workaround at this point is to share subfolders by project rather than the whole top level folder which seems to work.
It is a team folder, yes. The link doesn't exist in the page link you referenced above to delete it (since it's a team folder, I presume?).
