Everything on my computer is saved under Dropbox, how can I remove it?

Dear All, 

 

I noticed that dropbox has basically intruded in my laptop so that evert files that I save, even in the desktop and everywhere else, is saved on dropbox/desktop and so on. How is this possible? there is no way I would accept something similar, how can I stop it? I am thinking of suing them. Please advice

    It sounds like you've enabled the Dropbox Backup feature. You can delete it by following these steps.

    Hi Jay, thanks for your reply. I cannot find anywhere the Sync and Backup Tab. I am using windows on my desktop!

    Are you able to open the Dropbox desktop application preferences by following these steps?
