Hey yggdrasilsyeoman, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

 

I'm not sure if this would help, but have you considered converting the file to another format, a .xlsx file for example? 

 

This would enable you to open and edit the files with Google Sheets.

I have the same problem.

if you have it  as a xls file The macros doesn’t work. It needs to stay in a xslm file. 
Do you have a solution or are you looking at this . Really need macros to work on this platform to make it perfect for my business
