I was unable to do this. I unshared the folders, but they keep on showing as if they were shared! What can I do?

3 years agoHey gracecruzch, I hope youâre doing well.
Can you please describe to me the steps that youâre taking in order to unshare your folders? Are you still seeing two figures on their folder icon?

Hi Nancy,
1. Log in at dropbox.com
2. Looked for the shared folder I want to unshare: go on the 3 dots on the right
3. Share> Share with Dropbox
4. Who can access
5. Select the persons I want to remove > REMOVE

Thanks for that! I think I know where the issue lies.
It sounds like youâre removing the members of the folder, but not unsharing it as a whole.
In order to do this, please follow these steps:
Sign in to dropbox.com.
Hover over the folder youâd like to unshare, go to the 3 dots on the right, select Share> Share with Dropbox
Click the settings icon (gear icon).
Click Unshare folder.
Click Unshare.
