File on shared link appears as deleted after location of file changed
Hi all - I have been generating a Dropbox Sharelink to insert within various spreadsheets to use as a quick reference within the spreadsheet. The file location at the top level and therefore effecting all files in the dropbox has now moved and it appears it has resulted in the links stating that the file has now been deleted. I was unaware of this and assumed the link with be directly with the document.
I dont want to have to go through all files and share the link again, copy and paste back into the spreadsheet - any advice?

Hey easj, thanks for reaching out to us!
Was the file moved from a shared folder to a non-shared one, or perhaps from a shared folder to another shared folder?
If that's the case, it's normal for the link to break and for the file to appear as deleted.
Let me know if that's not the case and any additional info would be helpful.

The top level folder had a subfolder under it which then had all other folders and files within it. Both should have been shared folders. Effectively the top level and the subfolder was just elongating the file path without any purposes so I cut all the contents of the subfolder and pasted it into the top level - which is where I think the link as classed files as deleted.

Do you know if the top level folder was the shared folder, or was it the subfolder that was shared?
To clarify, the folder that is considered shared, is the folder you're inviting people to.
If you were in the subfolder and invited people there, then the top level folder would be considered as non-shared, even if it includes the shared subfolder, so moving the file to that, broke the link.
