File Upload is Stuck in Endless "Finalizing" Loop
I'm the owner of this account, have created a folder for it ("free" Basic), and used the proper Dropbox channel to UL a file to it. Plenty of space available fpr the file. The person the folder is being shared with received their "folder share" notification. The endless loop is a new glitch, and nothing else about my machine has changed.
Mac M1 Air, OS 11.2.8, either Firefox 109.0.1 or Safari 14.1.2

Hi rofilmmedia, if you could also send me a screenshot of the error message you get, that'd be amazing.
I'd need it in order to have a visual, and we'll proceed from there.

No error message. Just endlessly finalizing .... But it seems that everybody on Google knows about the problem - only Dropbox team members act as if if were a surprise.
Cheers

We'd still need a screenshot of this "finalizing" message, if you can send one, rofilmmedia.
Also, can you please guide us through the exact steps you're following to upload the files to your account?

All in all I´m thinking more and more that nobody there knows what they are talking about. Neverthelss:
steps: open dropbox in my browser (Google chrome, as I told you), log in to my account, click upload, choose the file on my harddisc and wait until Dropbox finished uploading (what ends in the never vanishing message " .... finalizing", and showing "1 second left")
No screenshot needed (it would show nothing else nor more than I´ve written above). I won´t waste even more time than I alredy had to, and upload an hour or more and wait until I can take a screenshot of the problem, which I sufficiently described before (or didn´t you notice my remark about the file size? with small sizes there aren´t any problems - so far).

Is it OK if we log a ticket for you then, and have our support team investigate this further?

This issue has now cost me money. Did you find an actual solution? I’m canceling myself because this is the finalizing straw that broke the camels back.

Sorry to hear that you're having this issue, MrChin.
Can you let us know what troubleshooting steps you've tried so far?
Does trying from a different browser or a private browsing window help at all?

I have been dealing with the stuck in finalize more forever. After seeing so many others with the same issue and Dropbox not fixing the problem, looks like I am officially done with Dropbox. They have been nothing but a pain and to deal with this now is very discouraging. I wished I never used Dropbox in the 1st place.
