"Follow" Folder Option Grayed Out
Someone has shared a folder with me, and I want to "follow" the folder so that I get emails when a file is added or changed. When I over over the ellipses for the folder, the "follow" option is gray...

Hey, Hunter -
In Settings, on the Plan tab, it says "Dropbox Business Advanced You're a member of the XXXX Dropbox account."

In that case, could you check with your Team Admin, if he has top level editing restricted?
Your Team Admin can check the settings from his Admin Console > Settings.
Let us know how it goes.

Check with Admin on what - what plan theirs says or whether they can follow the folder? Or something else?

I think Hunter was referring to top level editing as found in the Admin Console's settings Kris N.3
Could you check with your team's admin if they see this option and if they do, ask whether it's on for everyone in the team or only the team admins?
