How can I share folders with people outside my team?
My work has a Dropbpx business account, and I am admin. I want to create a shared folder within our DB-account to share with external collaborators. And I want to give some of them the persmission to add further (external) people. Somehow I can´t seem to make this happen. Any pointers?

Hi FStobacco, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you let me know in more detail what you're experiencing?
Have you enabled this setting to share folders outside of your team?
This will help me to assist further!

Thank for yout reply Jay.
My workplace has business account with 5 licenses. I am one of them, and I have admin rights. Now I am trying to establish a shared folder with freelancers outside our organisation (and not part of the 5 people with a DB-license). So far so good. The problem starts when I want to enable one of the freelancers to also add external people to this shjared folder. In my admin conconsole I have the following settings:
Share links outside your team - ON
Default acsess for shared links - ANYONE WITH LINK
Default permission for shared links - EDIT
Set an expiration new for links shared outside your team - NONE
Require password for links shared outside your team - OFF
Blanket links restriction - OFF
Transfer - ON
Adding outside folders - ON
Anything I can do, or do I need to buy a licence for the freelancers I want to have the option of adding "outside team member" to our shared folders?

Hey FStobacco, what's the error you're seeing when you try to enable external users to share the folder with other external users, please?

Hi Hannah
I don´t see where I can enable external users to share with other external users. I have the settings as listed above and what I do is:
- I share a folder with extarnal users
- I give them "can edit" priviliges
But when these external users try sharing the folder with other external users they get these messages:
"This can only be shared with the link"
and/or
"You don´t have permission to manage membership on this folder".

Thanks for that, FStobacco.
In the sharing tab of your admin console, in the "sharing externally" section under "direct sharing", can you change the setting to "On (Team + approved)" and then add the emails of the external collaborators, to see if that allows them to edit the folder?

Thanks again Hannah. Doesn´t seem to work unfortunately. I have now changed the settings as you suggested (see attachement #1). But the external user still gets the same messages as I listed above. Is there any changes needed done under "membership approval" maybe (see attchment #2)? Or are these settings aimed at team members only?

Thanks, FStobacco, I'm testing this on my end too as we go along, but it looks like it might not be possible for the external users to share this folder with other external users.
One more thing to check, to confirm this, is the folder settings.
Can you click on the "Share" button next to the folder, then on the gear icon and let me know which options you see next to "manage access" under "folder settings"?
