How do I sync folders in Dropbox? Should I put them in the Dropbox folder?
Hi,
Is it better put sync folder IN dropbox (i mean c:\dropbox\folder) and use that, or sync external folder and use c:\folder that will be synced in dropbox?
Hey Gabriele M.2, sorry to jump in here!
Generally, Backup is designed to back up your content in one direction, from your device to the cloud.
If you want to edit your content after backing it up with Dropbox Backup, you’ll need to do so in the files or folders on the original device.
So, in that sense, it would be more convenient to just put the files you want in the Dropbox folder to sync them and work on them from there.
And currently it's possible to back up only your desktop, downloads, documents etc. folders, but not other ones.
I hope this helps.

Hi Gabriele M.2, thanks for messaging the Community!
In general, it isn't possible to sync external folders into the Dropbox folder.
You'll need to have any file or folders within the Dropbox folder itself if you want them to sync to the site.
If you need any further assistance, please let me know!

Ok so probably i mean the Backup options.
If i don't need to share something, is it technically more efficient to sync folders IN dropbox, also for executable like programs, or Backup it? And also, is it possibile to backup folders other than standard folders like document, music, video, etc.?
