maurice bahnen ,ExecAssist ,tmc123 ,RichMegan I found a workaround to this if you are repeatedly using a set of the same folders within other folders on Dropbox (sorry if confusing). Example would be if you are often creating folders labeled by different months and wanted the same subfolders; Monday Tuesday Wednesday etc. This trick helps with the days of the week folders in my above example. If you create folders labeled mon, tues, weds etc. on your desktop and add a simple file (txt file named empty in my case) to each one, Dropbox will allow you to select your group of template folders that are now not technically empty folders into Dropbox. Hopefully this makes sense and is useful in some of your workflows.

Hoping there is some progress on this. Creating new folders is a daily task for me and it is counter productive and time-wasting for every. single. new. folder. to open.
There is also increased risk for error because new folders can easily be created inside new folders without realising.
Dropbox can we please have some urgent attention on this one. Many thanks.

Is there any updates on this?
New folders automatically opening is incredibly annoying and takes up so much of my time when I need to file things under time pressure.

Hey maurice bahnen, thanks for posting here!
At the moment there is no available setting that'd allow you to do that.
However, I'll forward your feedback to the appropriate areas so we can continue to improve.
If you need anything else, let me know!
