Commenting to show my frustration with this change.
I want to save my screenshots to dropbox.
I DO NOT want dropbox to override PrtScr and force me to paste URLs instead of the actual image. I also don't care for the popup. Add more customization options instead of forcing users.
Why are you overriding default OS implementation with something worse?
Dropbox is a file sync service. Stay simple or customers will find the simple that they need elsewhere.

Dropbox Product Manager
Hi madsami -- I totally understand the frustration. We've been working on this feature, and you should now have the option to disable the pop-up, as well as the link copying.
If you navigate to the Desktop app's Preferences (Click the Dropbox icon in the taskbar > click the account/avatar > Preferences > Screenshots), you should be able to toggle these on/off.
Please let me know if that doesn't work for you!
Cheers,
Ryan

How come in the past you were able to save a copy of the screenshot in dropbox and still have the same image on the clipboard? Why you don't have an option to keep new changes backward compatible with that behavior? Same as above comment: "I want to save my screenshots to dropbox. I DO NOT want dropbox to override PrtScr and force me to paste URLs instead of the actual image."

Upon checking, it works as requested/discussed. In my case I checked checkbox Save Screenshots to Dropbox, but I kept Copy Link to Clipboard checked as well. It saved a copy of the screenshot, but replaced image in the clipboard with a link. Once I unchecked Copy Link to Clipboard, it continued to copy the image to the Dropbox and kept the image in the clipboard.
