I can't remove myself from a shared folder I joined
A folder I joined sometime back does not offer the option for me to remove myself. Unfortunately it causing my account to be over capacity.

Go to your Sharing page and click the ellipsis next to the folder in question. Do you see an option that says Remove from Dropbox?

Hey Joe M.10, you can't join a shared folder if you're not logged in to Dropbox and you can only login to Dropbox if there's already an account associated with the email you used.
So, it does sound like you have two Dropbox accounts.
A screenshot of what you see, would be really helpful.
You can edit out the names and emails from the screenshot before uploading it.

Yes, of course, you must be logged in to join a folder. I was indeed logged in. No I do not have two Dropbox accounts. It is only my guess that I was invited from a different email that had me thinking this might be the reason I cannot leave. It shows my Dropbox user ID in the permissions box, but only with "can edit" as the only option and no twirl out arrow. Unfortunately, a screenshot is too risky as this involves a legal case.
I do not see an option to insert an image, so here's a link.

I appreciate the update here, Joe M.10.
What does the owner of the folder see when following the same steps?
Can you check with them?
