If a shared folder member removes their own access, can I still see their email?
A few months ago, I was asked to set up a dropbox folder for a work project. I set it up and invited my collaborators to the folder. Fast forward a few months, and one of these collaborators is claiming that I messed up because they had no idea the folder existed - definitely not true, as this particular member was the one who asked me to set it up - and that they were never invited to it.
Now, I did manually send them a link to the folder via email, so they could have requested access any time, but it is true that when I go to the list of members, their name isn't on there. So maybe I did forget to invite them via Dropbox's share function. But is there a way for me to find out whether I actually forgot to invite them, or if they were invited, but removed themselves from the member list to make it seem like it was my mistake? It doesn't matter all that much, I'm just curious if it is possible. And if I did make a mistake I would like to know about it.
Tldr: would their email still show up in the list of members, even if they removed themselves, or would it disappear? And if a user's name and email disappears from the members list when they remove themselves, is there a way to go back and see past members or invites anywhere?

Hey SW1988, thanks for posting your question to the Dropbox Community!
To get straight to the point, if a member of a shared folder removes their own access, their email address wouldn't show up in the list of people who can access it.
If this person was indeed invited, they'd have also received an invite via email, so they can check their emails to see if they received that invite as well.
Now, there's no way to see past members of a folder, but depending on their plan's recovery window/version history, they can also check their events page to see if they can locate any events related to that folder.
I hope this clarifies things, but let me know if you have more questions.

There's no way to see past members but if you look at your Events page and select the shared folder from the link on the top-right of the page, you'll see an entry showing that they removed their access.

If you manually sent a link, and didn't explicitly invite them to the folder, then they won't show as a member unless they request access and actually join the folder.
