I'm trying to save PDF files to my desktop app, but I get an error that they'll get removed instead.
Device
(Dell XPS 15)
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
(Windows 11)
Dropbox App Version (if using the app)
232.4.5926
Syncing Status - Up to Date
Question or Issue
When saving a pdf to my dropbox folder I receive a message asking me to confirm removal of the document that I want to save?
Again - this happens when I attempt to save or upload a document to my dropbox folder. I also tried uploading the same pdf using the dropbox website and the same message appears. If I click "Cancel" the same message pops up again. Because of this I am presently unable to save new docs to my dropbox folder.
Many thanks for any help

That error is talking about moving files between folders.
Where is your Dropbox folder located out of interest? Is it symlinked at all?

The error message is referring to action that I did not request. I am simply saving a file to my local Dropbox folder on my "D" drive (available offline). I did not request to move or delete a file as the message suggests - so I'm a bit confused why it is appearing.

Sorry - I don't know what a symlinked folder is

Also - it seems to be specific to certain folders, as I do not get the message unless saving documents to certain shared folders

Hey smcosper, can you give me an example or two of a folder that gives this error message when you try to save files within?
Feel free to send over an additional screenshot, as well.

Sorry for the nudge, smcosper! Did you manage to save your files to the Dropbox app after all?
If the same error still persists, and you’d like us to look into it, don’t hesitate to let me know.
