Issue syncing from Galaxy phone
I've got a very troubling discovery. I got DropBox to save photos and downloads of pictures from FaceBook, Instagram, email and texts.
Earlier today, I saved 3 pictures my daughter-in-law sent via SMS of my granddaughters. I have a Samsung Galaxy s22+. The pictures show up in the "pictures" application on the phone, but when I look to see the in DropBox they aren't there. A picture I took yesterday is. That's the last time I took a picture. It seems that DropBox may take hours to upload - which is pretty scary. The whole point of having DropBox is to not "lose" these pictures, which may not be valuable to DropBox, but they are to me.
Does DropBox actually delay uploads like this? I'd hate to think that i've lost other pictures because it's broken (uploads some pictures/downloads and not uploading others).

Hi klamerus, let's jump right into this!
It is safe to say that you're using the mobile app, in order to upload your content, right? If so, can you clarify the version that you're using?
Also, do you use camera uploads on your end to do that? If yes, did the content sync when you opened up the app?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

I'm using DropBox 332.2.2 on Android (a Galaxy S22+).
I do use camera uploads. It just isn't uploading everything. It only seems to upload pictures I take with the camera. Not downloads I save from SMS, email, FaceBook or Instagram. In this case the files that are missing were from Instagram (I think).

Hi from me as well, klamerus!
Can you please open your Dropbox app settings and go to your camera uploads? After that, please select the “Upload from” option and enable the albums from which you’d like to automatically upload files. Then, click on “Save selection”.
Do you see any difference now perhaps?

Unfortunately, I'll need to find another situation where I'll download documents from one of the other sources, but I'm guessing this will solve the problem. I found lots of sources for uploads not active and didn't even know this setting existed. I appreciate your help.
