My account is banned from sharing files, why?

I was banned from sharing files from drop box. Just a bunch of college admission PDF's with the following msg.

"We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement"

I am not an active drop box user but share file now and then . How can i get my sharing capability unsuspended?/

  • Hi sonalgoel1994, thanks for posting today!

In order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?

This will help me to assist further!

Can someone help? I have a paid plan but due to sharing with 2-3 business partners a 10gb folder I am now banned due to ban width? This seems extremely unfair since I am a paying customer and need to use the services.

24 hour multiple bans is simply not good enough.

What makes it worse is that I can't even contact anyone at Dropbox, I pay for 24/7 support but don't get anything ? Chatbot doesn't work when you click on the button (any browser / after clearing cache), whole thing is a bit of a disaster.

Hi anonymous, since you have a paid plan, you can contact the support team directly from this page when logged into your account.

    Hi Jay,

No I cannot, if it was that simple I would not be posting here. As stated above the buttons given as an option are not provided. I'm extremely disappointed as the ban has continued again today for no reason as I haven't been sharing the links.

This needs to be fixed ASAP, I do not expect this as a paying customer, a) for it to happen in the first place and b) to receive little to no support. 48+ hours of this is simply unacceptable.

I am a tech savvy person, so any obvious suggestions I would have tried

Hey anonymous - sorry to jump in here, but would it be OK if we sent you an email to have a further look internally at this point?
