My "share dropbox link" option in the drop down box is gone, how do I get it back?
I'm trying to send a link to someone and I have the file saved to my dropbox but I don't have the option to share the dropbox link. This just started as I shared a link a few weeks ago.
Hey folks,
This might be because we're interfering with other Finder extensions (Creative cloud etc) you may have running on your computer.
While we're working on fixing the bug with Apple, you *could* disable the other Finder extensions in System Preferences > Extensions > Finder:

I have the issue from today. I did the following
1. Rebooted
2. Quit Dropbox from System Tray, relaunched from App Menu
Nothing is giving back the Share Menu for Dropbox.

Use Firefox instead of Safari..that worked for me!

Same issue.
On my MacBook Air (latest OS, latest Dropbox) Finder Integration vanished.
All this did not help: Stopped/restarted Dropbox, Stopped/Restarted Finder Integration, Unlinked Dropbox, Uninstalled Dropbox, Reinstalled Dropbox
I can't believe it ... this issue has been around since Yosemite, and still no official fix in El Capitan!

concerning the issue of the disappeared sharing options
This solved the issue for me:
- Boot your Mac with Command-R held to load Recovery mode.
- Open the Terminal from the Utilities menu.
- Run the following command, followed by restarting your Mac: csrutil disable
- Reboot into normal OS X ... sharing should be back
- Boot your Mac with Command-R held to load Recovery mode
- Open the Terminal from the Utilities menu.
- Run the following command, followed by restarting your Mac: csrutil enable
- Reboot & be a happy camper

My share dropbox link that allows me to click on and add e-mails to share files in my public box is gone. How do I get it back?
- Nietrijker10 years agoNew member | Level 2
Unfortunately this did not work for me. I followed the instructions exactly but never got the link functionality back. I can link from the recently changed files list, but not from finder. OSX version 10.12, Dropbox version 12.4.22

Not sure what happened, but suddenly the links came back... about one hour after the reboot... it works now (hope it will remain working)
