No confirmation email of sent file
Hi there, I often upload files to file requests via a Dropbox link and usually get an email from Dropbox that says “Here’s what you uploaded to *file request*” after. The last two times I have uploaded, I have not gotten an email confirmation as usual. Are my files still being sent?

Hey astridgrace, welcome to our Community!
When you're done uploading on the file request page, do you see the 'Finished uploading' message? If so, you're good to go!
Let me know if you have any questions. - jbakervt5 years agoNew member | Level 2
This doesn't answer the obvious other question: why are upload confirmation emails not being sent as they had been for a while now?
Anyone have any insight as to why the confirmation emails just stopped being sent?

I agree wholeheartedly. This is a confusing & ridiculous oversight for a company earning $2.4 BILLION in revenues.
Confirmation of sent emails is standard on ALL email services.
I find myself sending additional emails, asking the receiving party to confirm receipt of the dropbox email.
AND.
I shouldn't have to do this. No one should.

Hey uknead2neaux, sorry to hear you're having this issue. Can I reach out to you via email, so we can look into it?
Also, jbakervt, are you still having this issue as well? - treasury3 years agoNew member | Level 2
I am now having this issue. Was there ever a resolution for it?

Hey treasury, sorry to hear about this.
Can you clarify how long you've been having this issue? Have you tried another browser than the one you used originally?
Let us know and we'll take it from there.

We're also having this issue.
One of our clients in particular is not receiving a confirmation email after uploading using a file request.
Because of our naming convention, we ask clients not to log in when they upload, but to add their email addresss on the file request screen. Our client tells us they have a Dropbox account, and use that associated email address when using file request.
They have whitelisted 'dropbox.com' and have checked spam folders, and nothing has arrived.
I've tried on Firefox and Chrome.
Do you have any suggestions?Thanks!

Hi Credible_Media, are they using a private email domain, or a public email provider?

Hi Jay - it's a gmail address.

Hi from me too, Credible_Media! I hope it’s OK to jump in here.
Can you let me know when was the last time they received this type of email approximately?
When uploading content to your file request, do they see a small green checkmark on the uploaded files, along with a message saying “Finished uploading” on their screen?
