No confirmation email of sent file
Hi there, I often upload files to file requests via a Dropbox link and usually get an email from Dropbox that says “Here’s what you uploaded to *file request*” after. The last two times I have upload...

Hannah! Please help! Same issue.
I have a link provided to me from a potential client. I uploaded my files. I see a screen with a guy running through a finish line. Looks like it went through? But NO email to confirm it was sent. I think there was a note that said I'd be alerted when the recipient downloaded my files? I know they did, but I got NOTHING via email to ease my mind. Contemplating resending it, but how annoying is that. Please tell me - if I saw the screen with the guy running through that finish line tape, that my files went through....

2 years agoHey AnnieBoon, hope you’re doing well!
Did you check your spam folder, and there’s no email there either?
After the files have been successfully uploaded, you should see a green checkmark on your screen. If you happen to have a screenshot of the message you mention though, I’d love to see it.

No screenshot:(
I was not logged in in any way when I uploaded the files. Is that why I didn't get any email at all, no spam, no promotions no socials, no email at all. - Nancy2 years ago

It’s not necessary to be logged into Dropbox to upload files to a file request, so that shouldn’t be the reason.
Did the recipients mention anything about not receiving your files on their end?

No, but it's a busy casting office getting 100s of submissions, I'd hate to reach out just to make sure mine went it, it's pretty unprofessional. Ugh, I wish there was SOMETHING that let me know it made it. Do you think that seeing that guy running through the finish line meant that it went through? I think I saw something like, "we'll let you know when Joe has downloaded your files..." or similar?

Hi AnnieBoon, if this was a file request link, then you should only receive an email when your files are uploaded, and not when they open your file.
From what you've described, it sounds like the upload was successful.

Jay Hi Jay, So - can they watch a file I sent through the link request WITHOUT downloading it? I sent a video I worked really hard on, and on a tight deadline, and I've gotten no email stating "_____has downloaded your video..." or anything. Does that mean it has gone unwatched? THX!!

Hey AnnieBoon, jumping in here as well.
To confirm, if you saw the screen with the man running through a finish line, your file was successfully uploaded to the file request, so no worries there!
But do you remember adding your name and email address before you clicked on the "upload" button?
- AnnieBoon2 years agoExplorer | Level 3
I did! There were two boxes for name and email. I filled those out. 😕 Could they have watched them without downloading?

OH!!!!!!! OK. Oh man. That is good to know. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME.
