No option to copy the link to a folder so I can share it

I've downloaded a folder to Dropbox but can't get a link to send it to others. When i right-click on the folder, i usually get a dropdown screen giving me a link to the folder which i  can copy and paste in an e-mail. i'm not getting the link this time around.  Am i doing something wrong?

The folder you're clicking on is located in your Dropbox folder? If so, what options do you get when you right-click? If you can, take a screenshot and post it here, being sure to mask any private information, if any.

You don't seem to have any Dropbox options on the context menu, nor do the sync icons appear in Explorer. Are you sure the Dropbox application is running? Click the ^ in your system tray to show hidden icons and see if Dropbox is listed. If not, launch it from your Start menu. If the icon is there, hover your cursor over the icon to see what the Dropbox version and status are.

    Hi wkrohngold,

It appears that the context menu in the dropdown is not showing, based on your screenshot.

If nothing shows in general, is it possible you had a recent OS update on your device?

Finally, what’s the syncing status and app version of your desktop app?

You could try signing in and out of Dropbox to see if that fixes the issues. Can you please try that and let me know that fixes the issue?

    Thanks,
    Vlad

thanks for your response, Vlad.  I can't find a sign in/ sign out option on my desktop; it's just an icon on the desktop.  tried finding the version of Dropbox under Properties, but could not find it. I think it's properly synced.

Please try 'Quit' option that is available in the profile context menu.

Bizarre!   i can't even find a profile page like you have.  All i have is the above dropdown screen when i click on the tab in the upper left corner of my screen- See above. No Quit option. Wondering if i should just delete and re-install Dropbox.

wkrohngold, if you look at your system tray at the bottom right corner of your screen (where your clock and date settings are showing), there’s an upward arrow next to your apps; can you please click on it and let me know if you can see a small Dropbox icon then?

If you click on that icon, you should be able to see the options provided above.

If nothing appears after clicking on that arrow, please go to your Start menu instead and try to restart the Dropbox app from your Applications there.
