Offline files still taking up space on my hard

Hi. Have emptied the ~/Dropbox/.dropbox.cache folder but the offline (unsynced) files still take app hard drive space on my computer. What do I do?

Hey Martinolsen758, thanks for letting us know about this.

Are you using a Mac computer? If so, can you please go to your account settings and check if the 'Smart sync update for Mac' is enabled for your account?

If it's not, make sure to enable it, wait 5 minutes and then quit and relaunch Dropbox on your computer.

You should then start seeing the space your online-only files take up, being freed up.

Let me know how it goes!

Dear Hannah, thank you for respond.

'Smart sync update for Mac' is enabled and I tried to re activate it and close open app.

    Still no change.

Delete the dropbox app and re-install?

If you made sure that the app is 'up to date' and not still syncing in your menu bar, you should be able to move forward with reinstalling the app if needed Martinolsen758
