How to make files "always available offline"?
Almost all my files are showing as "available offline" rather than "always available offline". How do I change this?
When I right-click, the only options I get are make online only/ view on Dropbox.com/ manage hard drive space. "Manage hard drive space" lets me move files to online only but not to "always available". The same applies to going via preferences. Screenshots attached.
I want my files stored on my computer so I can still get access to them if my internet goes off.
Many thanks
Thanks for the update, dotingaunt.
Hmm, what if you make a folder "online-only" first and then switch it to "available offline"? What happens then?

Hi there, dotingaunt, thanks for joining our Community!
The right-click options in your screenshot are the ones you see when right-clicking on individual folders within your Dropbox folder, right?
Do you want to make all your Dropbox files "always available offline"? If so, right-click on the Dropbox folder itself and see if that gives you the desired option.
Otherwise, can you open the folders and select all the files inside, right-click and see if that allows you to make them always available offline?
Let me know how it goes!

Hi Hannah
Thanks for the quick response. Neither of those things works, I'm afraid.
If I right click on the dropbox folder itself, I get the same triad of options as shown above. If I click on individual files, I get options for sharing and a choice to "make online only". - Hannah5 months ago

I think that is working, thank you! It certainly has for a very small folder; am now letting it work on one of my bigger ones.
Very grateful for the help.

Hi
Yes - on my phone and tablet I always make sure I have downloaded the files I'm going to need if I'm out and about. Never sensible to assume the wi-fi connection will be up to the job!
