"Public links have been temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic." Please help!
Helllo
I have been receiving emails "your Dropbox public links have been suspended for generating excessive traffic" .
Weeks ago I deleted the file and even all other shared folders. Yet I am still getting this message with no way to resolve it other than the suggested "upgrade your plan".
Which I don't need the capacity for.
What else can I try?

Hi gerry12345, let's see what we can find together on this!
Based on the error you received, it sounds like your access to shared links might have been temporarily paused. You can find out more info at this Help Center article.
Have you recently shared a link which could have been downloaded many times, or to a large file? Also, is this the first time that this happens?
This will help me to assist further!

Hello
Yes I did share a link to 2 people, it wasn't that large, but I have since deleted the file and even the folder it was in.
Yes this also is the first time I have had this issue. - Megan2 months ago

Hey gerry12345, do you still get the same error when trying to share content?
If so, then can I send you an email in order for us to investigate further?

Hey gerry12345 - sorry to hear about this. Are you also getting an error when trying to share files or links now or only the emails?
Did you try getting back to Megan via your ticket?

Hello.
I just tested trying to share a file and that seems fine with no issues. So it seems I am just still getting the error emails.
(and no updates from Megan other than sending me an email to confirm my address) - Megan25 days ago
