Restricting folder to certain file types? Is it possible?

Is there any way to set up a folder so that it can only accept certain filenames, and or reject other filenames?    While my goals is actually by 'filetype', simply name matches/rejections would ...

Hey brian q., thanks for posting here! 

 

The key thing here, is that you wish for the restriction to happen before the content is synced or uploaded.

 

We don't have an exact feature to what you're asking. I'm not entirely sure if an API would work, but it's possible but I'd also have to suggest either an automation or a naming convention on our end. 

 

You might want to take a look into these options, to find out if they work similarly for what you wish to achieve on your end.
